Our Story

**Please scroll down for available litters**

We breed multi-generation Petite-mini Goldendoodles, and recently we have added mini Labradoodles and mini Double Doodles. We are located in Pine Bush, NY.

We are a family run operation. My husband Michael, my mother Julie, and myself give all we can give to our dogs and the raising of these puppies.

Julie is an especially huge part of my life, and my dogs lives today. She started breeding Dobermans in 1976. In the late 90's when I was a child we were gifted two Silky Terriers by my father, after the loss of my first dog, Shadow - a field spaniel.

Like we are today, we have always been at-home breeders. Our silky terriers, Sunny & Star had 3 healthy litters together. It was a wonderful experience. With the guidance of our vet, we helped whelp (birth), and socialize all of their puppies, and placed them into happy homes - many of whom were our neighbors, family and friends.

Sparky, the last of our silky's from our first litter, passed away in 2019 (at the ripe old age of 19!!). We are so thankful for their long lives and good health, which we credit to their diet of (mostly) steamed or roasted chicken, good breeding practices, and happy home life.

We knew that we (Michael and Lara) were planning on having children soon and we wanted our next dog to be low-shedding or non-shedding, compact in size, and most importantly FAMILY FRIENDLY.

We researched many breeds, but kept coming back to the Mini Goldendoodle. That's when we found our Lola, and fell in love with Goldendoodles. They are smart, loving, low to non-shedding, playful and very good with children.

Today, my mother and I combine our years of experience of raising and training dogs in our Goldendoodle program.

We have a unique understanding of developing healthy packs thanks to our years of breeding the Silkys. If you are considering getting a second dog, we can help you select the right fit for not only you, but for your current pooch. Pack dymanics should always be taken into consideration.

Lola is an F1B petite Goldendoodle - to be technical. This means that she is 75% poodle, and 25% retriever.

You can read about our mom's and dad's under the "Parents" tab at the top of this page.

Our Difference

Critical Breeding Standards

We put our heart and souls into raising our puppies, and we know what it is to love a dog - we know what it is to lose that beloved family member. That's why in addition to a family friendly temperament, we are breeding for excellent health and extended longevity.  Our litters are planned out far in advance of the puppies birth, sometimes years. We select and pair our breeding males and females based on their own individual merit, as well as how they compliment one another in the following areas:

  • DNA test results
  • OFA Orthopedic Foundation of America independent screening
  • Structure
  • Temperament / potential for working skill sets
  • Size & Coat considerations
  • and Family History for all the above

Early Neurological Stimulation & Early Scent Introduction

Between days 3 - 14 after birth we gently introduce the puppies to our handling and scent introduction exercises. These early introduction to human handling and novel smells actually serve to improve the health and temperament of the dog - for life.

Included Puppy Curriculum

In addition to ENS and ESI, ALL of our puppies begin early puppy curriculum from weeks 2 - 8. As soon as the puppies can open their eyes and begin to walk around they are ready to start:

  • Novel item exposure
  • exposure to regular household activities and sounds like TV, Vacuuming, children and noise
  • Litterbox training (begins around 3 - 4 weeks old depending on the particular litter)
  • Crate exposure - (begins around 4 weeks) while we don't start crate training until 8 weeks old, your puppy will have become familiar with their crate as an open door bed/den area within their play pen. The puppies can often be found piled up inside the crate sleeping together of their own free will. This is a force free, coercion free method that sets a great foundation for crate training during our pre-training program.
  • Exposure to new dogs (our friendly aunty and grandma dogs serve as wonderful safe socialization for the growing puppies
  • Socialization with cats - our two friendly cats serve as an excellent introduction to the species for the puppies.
  • Manding - "auto sit" - during feeding time, we teach the puppies to sit to ask for attention. This makes hand feeding the puppies a much easier task, and sets them up for success later on during pre-training.

Pre-training

We offer and additional 4 week training program working on housebreaking to a schedule, crate training, basic obedience and more. You can read about our pre-trained puppy program here:
